FIREFLY SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

The health and safety of our campers and staff is our top priority. In order to keep everyone safe, we are implementing strict measures to prevent the spread of the virus. In addition to the guidelines offered by the CDC and local authorities, we are also taking additional precautions that will make our camp one of the safest summer activities around.

Limited number of campers

Our camper to counselor ratio is 6:1 or better and the kids will be spread out over all outdoor areas. This ratio will often be even better since we have a new staff member dedicated to making sure all kids are disinfecting their hands properly.

Restricted group contact

In order to minimize the number of people each camper comes into contact children will stay in the same groups the entire week and will be supervised by the same counselors. Interaction with other groups will be restricted and activities will be scheduled in order to avoid groups intersecting with each other.

Cleaning and disinfecting

Our facilities will be disinfected every day before campers arrive. Each group of campers will only use their own equipment and will not share anything with other groups. Campers and counselors will have to wash their hands often throughout the day.

Checking for symptoms

Everyone, all staff and campers, will be required to take their temperature daily and report if they had any symptoms in the last 10 days. If anyone shows any symptoms, they will be required to stay at home for at least 10 days or provide proof of negative test results.
